Financial Aid Offers

The FAFSA application becomes available as of October 1st for the following academic year. The FAFSA is required for any UMBC student planning to apply for need-based Federal, State or institutional financial aid. UMBC’s priority submission date is March 1st each year.

The FAFSA application is currently available for the 2022-2023 academic year. While our priority deadline has passed for 2022-2023, it’s not too late to complete the FAFSA to be considered for financial aid! Be sure to include the UMBC school code (002105) on your FAFSA application for consideration.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students should expect to receive their offer within three weeks of admission to the university or receipt of your FAFSA, whichever date is later, and will be sent to your myUMBC email account.

Offers for continuing students are contingent upon having a completed financial aid file – all requests for additional information must be submitted and reviewed prior to an offer being made. As always, please monitor your myUMBC email and alerts and address any outstanding to-dos or requests for additional information as soon as possible.
