Students who have been dismissed or suspended from UMBC must be readmitted to the university. Reinstatement alone does not guarantee reciept of financial aid if you were not meeting SAP standards when you last attended UMBC. If this is the case, you will need to submit a SAP appeal by the stated deadlines for financial aid consideration. SAP decisions cannot be made until students have been officially readmitted.
If you wish to appeal for financial aid consideration in the upcoming academic year, please complete both the SAP Appeal and SAP Academic Plan. If you have missed the appeal deadline based on your date of readmission, we encourage you to contact your financial aid counselor to explain your circumstance and request an extension to complete the appeal.
